Why is millet so much known to people and why everyone should add it to their healthy diet? What is so good with these superfoods?

1. Low GI index:

Food is more than something we put in our mouths to satisfy our taste buds. It is essential for energy that allows our body to function properly at high potential.

Glycolysis is a process by which food is converted into energy for humans.

From an anatomical perspective, glycolysis is a cytoplasmic process that releases energy from glucose by splitting it into two molecules with three carbons each.

To put it simply, the process by which glucose is broken down to produce energy is called glycolysis.

Every ingredient in this glycolysis process is first changed into glucose and then into energy. And the most important aspect of this process is how long it takes for a meal to turn into glucose.

The glucose index (GI) is a scale from 1 to 100.
A food’s time to increase a person’s blood sugar levels decreases with its score.
The GI shows the pace at which meals high in carbohydrates raise blood sugar levels in relation to pure glucose.

The GI of white bread with glucose is 100.
Foods classified as low-GI score less than 55
Medium-GI meals range in score from 55 to 70.
GI foods with a score higher than 70

Millet takes 70% less water than rice, 40 less energy to process, and half the time to cultivate. When there is climate change, water shortage, and drought circumstances in the world millet offers the best. It has high nutritional value and sustainability.

Millets grow well despite having a low water supply because they are Thermophilic.

Millet can withstand harsh and devasting environments that other plants can not. Whether it is Drought, Heat, or Salinity they can resist any climate change. This reduces the pressure on environmental resources, particularly in regions impacted by climate change. 

Finally, it requires less fertilizers or pesticides to grow in these climates. Since it is less likely to be attacked by insects it is good in drought-prone regions.

Millets are one of the best ways to boost your nutrition and immunity. They contain anti-toxins, Diseases disease-fighting antioxidants, and they also boost consumption of probiotics. Overall it has potential health benefits. Millets are also a powerhouse of protein, Fiber, vitamins, Minerals, and fatty acids. It’s also best for a Healthy diet.
